Michael Hastings, a Senator from Illinois, is born in
Oakland and has spent his childhood with his other five siblings. Hastings has
earned a bachelor’s degree in science in leadership and management from West
Point. After graduating, he joined the US Army and served as a captain in Iraq.
Hastings earned his master’s degree from the University of Illinois in business
administration. Michael Hastings Tinley Park is known for pension reform
where he helped University of Illinois Institute for Government and public
affairs in combating pension shortfall
Michael Hastings Illinois has contributed a lot to
the people of Illinois. Recently state health officials approved to build a 30
bedded psychiatric hospital in Tinley Park for which Hastings has worked hard.
The psychiatric hospital mainly focuses on the children and adolescents who are
in need of inpatient mental care. The senator is mainly concerned for the
residents who have to travel distance to get the inpatient health care. With
the opening of a new psychiatric hospital nearby, the local people can easily
take the benefits of the medical facilities.
Senator Michael Hastings has also contributed a lot
in boosting the work opportunities. Currently, he is pushing the state police
department to use the 11-year-old and huge school building in Lockport. The
campus of the school is large and it can offer plenty of space to open a new
crime lab. The vacant school building if turned into a new forensic lab can
create thousands of jobs in the area which will boost the economic condition of
the people and will also make the best use of the otherwise old and vacant
building. Senator visited the Lincoln-Way North campus along with the State
Police Director to make the plan a success.
Apart from all the good things that Senator has contributed,
he has also saved a State Republican representative from chocking. Hastings
performed Heimlich on State Republican Mike Murphy and saved him when he was
chocking. The senator is trained in advanced combat lifesaving which he used on
Mike Murphy to save him from choking.
