Michael is a democrat
of Illinois district. Senator Michael Hastings was born on October 6, 1980. He
is a Senator of 19th district which includes Lockport, Orland Park,
Tinley Park, Frankfort, Homer Glen Joliet, Park Forest, Oak Forest, Hazel
Crest, New Lenox, Mokena, Matteson etc. Prior to Senate, Michael served his
country in U.S Army. Michael Hastings Illinois was also a vice-president
of a school board and a businessman. His public career started when he got
elected to the board of trustees for District 230 High School. Later on, he
also served as a co-chair of the education and finance committees of the
district. He completed his graduation from West Point and earned his master’s
degree from the University of Illinois.

Senator Michael Hastings
has contributed a lot for the welfare and development of people. He helped in combating
a plan to combat the pension shortfall with the association of State
Universities Retirement System and president of Southern Illinois University. He
also sponsored the funding for the development of the new airport in the city
Peotone. He acknowledged that the development of the airport would create lot
of job opportunities for the residents of the area. In addition, he also pushed
the state police to utilize the old and vacant Lincoln-way North High School
building, which is located in Frankfort. The school building is old and has
huge property which can also be used to build a crime lab. The opening of crime
lab in the area will generate jobs which will lead to economic development of
the residents. Michael Hastings Tinley Park has also planned to build a
30 bedded psychiatric hospital in Tinley Park. The nearby area of Tinley Park
has no other hospital which is offering inpatient mental health care which is
the reason why patient has to go to the far situated hospital to get the
treatment.

Furthermore, Michael
Hastings is also a kind human who had recently helped a freshman Republican
State Representative Mike Murphy when he was choking. Michael did a Heimlich manoeuvre
on Murphy which made the food to come up. Looking at all the things that the
senator has contributed we can say that Michael Hastings is a great senator of
Illinois.
