Born on October 6,
1980, Michael Hastings is a senate of Illinois. Senator Michael Hastings
has worked in the U.S army before starting his public career. He was a captain
in the army, and he served his country in Syria, Iraq and Iran. Hastings got
his bachelor degree from West point in leadership and management. After
completing his bachelor degree he joined army. In 2008, Hastings joined Johnson
& Johnson’s sales division and started serving health care facilities and
hospitals. His career in public begun with the election of the trustees for
high school in district 230 where he was the vice-president of the board and
also served as a co-chair for district’s education and finance committees.
As an Illinois senator,
Michael worked to battle the $ 100 billion pension shortfall. The pension
reform plan was appreciated by all and involved State Universities Retirement System
and Glenn Poshard, president of Southern Illinois University.
Michael Hastings Illinois also sponsored
the Senate Bill 20 demanding the funds for the development of new Peotone
airport. The bill demands that the
airport should be built by the Illinois department of transportation which will
help in creating jobs for the residents of district 19th.
With the same intention
of increasing job opportunities, Michael Hastings is also forcing the state to
use the vacant building of Lincoln-Way North High School campus which is
located in Frankfort. The 11-year-old building is vacant right now, and
Hastings wants to locate the District 5 headquarters there which is currently
located in Lockport. The extra property can be used to develop a crime lab
which will create many jobs in the area and will develop the area.
Michael Hastings is
also a man with a kind heart. Recently Michael helped Mike Murphy when he
choked by giving him Heimlich Manoeuvre. It’s important to note that Hastings
is trained in life-saving combat where he learned techniques to save the people
in tough situation. The boldness, generosity and dedication that Michael
showcases make him one of the best senators.
